Defensive Gem Propels Gannon To National Title.

 The Gannon University Knights shut down Lander holding them to 61 points in a 84-61 win that propelled GU to the DII National Title on Sunday afternoon. Pace Prosser led the way for the Golden Knights with 28 points to go with 11 rebounds, he was joined in double figures by Lucas Sekasi with 13, Mackenzie Morgan had 12, and Lucas Morgan added 11. Lander shot just 36 percent from the field, 27 percent (4-15) from the 3-point line, and 43 percent (9-21) at the free throw line. Dylan Cannoville led the Bearcats with 14 while Greyson Pritzl and Jacob Daniels each tallied 11. 

 

Gannon Battles Lander In NCAA DII Title Game Sunday

 It all comes down to this. The Gannon University Fighting Knights (33-3) ride a five game win streak into Sunday's Division II National title game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. GU comes off a 98-80 win over Oklahoma Baptist last time out. On the other side will be the Lander University (SC) Bearcats. Lander (30-5) has won 15 straight and is coming off a 91-81 shocker of #1 Nova Southeastern last time out. Tip time is slated for 1 PM on Sunday (4/5) and you can catch all the action on CBS.
