Rollins- #8 West Texas A@M Play In Battle Of High Octane Offenses In Vegas.

The Rollins Tars (7-4) will play for a second consecutive day when they battle the Buffaloes of West Texas A@M at the Doolittle Center in Las Vegas, Nevada Monday.
  Rollins is coming off a 85-80 loss to the Rams of Angelo State on Sunday afternoon.  Sam Philpott came into the tournament as the Tars leading scorer at 16.3 points a game and scored a career high 27 in the loss to the Rams.  Jeff Merton bounced back after a couple of tough games with a 24 point output on Sunday.  Merton came into the weekend averaging 14.9 points a game. Joey Galvis scored 13 points and is the other Tar who was averaging double figures going into the weekend (10.5 points per game.)  Galvis also leads the Sunshine State Conference in steals.  The Tars have scored 100 points or more four times thus far this season.  They came into the weekend 25th in the country in field goal percentage and 15th in Division II in 3-point percentage.
  The Buffaloes of West Texas A@M (13-1) come into Monday's contest riding a eight game win streak. The last time out Sunday they put five players in double figures in a victory over Western Washington. David Chavlovich paced the Buffs with 19- Eric Golightly Jr. added 15- Jerrod Walton notched 14- Joseph Prince netted 11- and- Skyler O'Laughlin chipped in 10.  They already have three wins this season over ranked opponents.  They average nearly 90 points a game as a team.
  The meeting will be the first ever between Rollins and West Texas A@M.
