Tar Nation Mourns The Loss Of Chris Uhle.

Chris Uhle had just graduated from Rollins College after last basketball season and was getting ready to start his pro career in the Japanese basketball league with the Saitama Broncos. Tragically the Ocala native passed away this morning at the age of 22.  He passed away suddenly in Atlanta while preparing for his pro career.
Uhle played in every game but one in his four seasons at Rollins. The man affectionately known as "Big Fella" to his teammates is the Tars all team leader in blocked shots.
Coach Tom Klusman had this to say about Uhle:
" Chris was one of the absolute best kids I have come across in 35 years of coaching. My heart goes out to his parents Alisa and Craig and their entire family.  This news hit our team very hard and we are rallying around each other right now.  The coaching staff and team are thankful to everyone who has reached out. To say that Chris will be missed is a big understatement.
Former teammate Brett Chance agreed with Klusman and took to social networking to do so:
" Chris Uhle R.I.P to a great teammate, friend and overall great person.  You will be deeply missed. Rest Easy my brother. Thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Jeff Dirkin was at a loss for words as many of us are:
" There are no words right now.  I wish I could have told him I loved him. The nicest guy I know. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and I hope they know what an incredible young man he is.
A vigil will be held on the Rollins campus in the coming weeks. More info to come when available.
