The Rollins Tars (5-4) will take on Seattle Pacific in the final day of the Dixie State Las Vegas Challenge Thursday. The Tars are coming off a complete team effort in a 73-67 win over Saint Martin's on Wednesday. Scott Schuette and Jeff Dirkin led the Tars with 13 points each. Alex Blessig scored 12 and had a career best nine assists- while Mike Bedulskis provided a spark with 12 off the Rollins bench. Blessig leads the Tars in scoring on the season at 14 per night coming into Vegas. Chris Uhle is the only other Tar in double figures at 10.4 points per night. Schuette came into the tourney averaging 9.5 per game before his 13 point performance Wednesday. The Tars score 71.1 a game before putting up 73 in Wednesday's win. On the other end they allow 68.1, which will go down after giving up 67 last night.
Seattle Pacific comes in at 7-3 on the year. The Falcons were a 100-67 winner over George Fox the last time out. Mitch Penner led the way with 26 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Matt Borton also scored in double figures with 16. It was the second time this season the Falcons have eclipsed the century mark.
Cory Hutsen is one of three Falcons averaging double figures. He leads the way at 17 points per night. Penner nets 13.2 a game- while Borton averages 12.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per contest.
