#17 Tars Travel To Embry Riddle Wednesday.

Up seven spots in the NABC Division II coaches poll from a week ago the Rollins Tars will travel to Daytona Beach to battle the Eagles of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University on Wednesday night. Tip time is set for 7:30 PM at the ICI Center and you can catch all the action on the Geico Tars Sports Network at RollinsSports.com and on 91.5 FM WPRK Winter Park.
  Rollins (7-0) comes into the game after defeating Puerto Rico Mayaguez 93-81 the last time out. The Tars were led by a 20 point evening from Sharif Almulla- Jeff Merton (13 points-) and Sam Philpott (11) also scored in double figures in that one.  The Tars shot better than 50 percent from the field, went 11-26 from the 3-point line- and- were a solid 22-27 from the free throw line.  Merton comes into Wednesday averaging 16.3 point per game-) while Almulla (16.0 Ppg) and Philpott (10.6) also average double figures through seven games.
 Rollins has been solid in all offensive categories in the early season. They are 18th in all of Division II offensively averaging more than 92 points per game.  The Tars are sixth in field goal shooting (53.2 percent-) fifth in steals (12.1 per contest) and lead all of Division II in free throw percentage (86.7 percent.)
  Embry-Riddle also comes in with an unblemished record (5-0.)  The last time out was a 92-79 win over Tampa inside the Bob Martinez Center.  Ognien Miljkovic paced the Eagles with 25 in the victory- with Reed Ridder posting a 22 point night.
  Like the Tars, Embry Riddle comes in with a high powered offense. ERAU is averaging 91.4 points a night offensively, while giving up 73.8 at the other end.  Two areas the Eagles have dominated the opponent are on the glass (+10.8 rebounding margin) and from the 3-point line where they are shooting 45 percent as a team.
Miljkovic is leading ERAU in scoring averaging (18.9 points per evening-) he is joined in double figures by Ridder (18.0 ppg-) Dillon Graham (15 per evening-) and Dalton Barnes (12.0 per contest.)
  The Eagles and Tars have only met seven previous times with the Tars winning five. The last meeting was December 1,1999 with the Tars edging the Eagles 74-71 at the ICI Center in Daytona.
