Tars Welcome Warner to Warden Friday.

The Rollins Tars (1-0) start the home portion of there  2011-12 season when they welcome the Warner University Royals (4-1) to Warden Arena in Winter Park.
 The two time defending conference champs are coming off a solid defensive effort in a 63-47 road win over Palm Beach Atlantic in West Palm Beach. The Tars were led by a trio of players in double figures. Myk Brown who is the team's leading returning scorer from a year ago scored 19 points, newcomer David Diakite scored 13 and grabbed 7 rebounds, while Jeremy Sharpe posted a 10 point evening. Since Tom Klusman took over the program 32 seasons ago the trademark of the Tars has become a stiffing zone defense. The zone was on full display in the opener when Rollins held the Sailfish to just 18 percent second half shooting.
 Warner comes into the contest with a high flying offense that is averaging almost 97 points a contest. The Royals have eclipsed the century mark twice this season. Each time was against Trinity College. The Royals lone loss was at the hands of Edward Watters by a 78-71 score. Malcolm Campbell leads the Royals thru the first five contests averaging 18 points. Bryce Kachinski is averaging 15 a night, while David Westberry scores 13 a game to go along with six assists a contest.
