The red hot Rollins Tars (4-1) look to stretch a four game win streak when they welcome the Fire of Southeastern to Winter Park on Friday evening.
The Tars, after dropping the first game of the season to Warner University 58-50, have now reeled off four straight wins. In the victories the Tars have averaged 80 points a contest. The Tars have won the rebounding battle in each game of the win streak. Defensively, the Tars are third in DII allowing just 53.4 points per contest. The Tars are eight in the country in field goal percentage defense at 36 percent on the season. Brett Chance leads the Tars season box score putting up 13 points per night, Kyle McClanahan puts up 10.8 a game to go along with 5.6 assists. In the Tars five contests four different players have led the team in scoring.
The Fire (8-5) have lost four of five after racing out to a 7-1 start on the season. The big win for Southeastern was when they upset Warner University (who defeated the Tars). Povillas Gaidys leads the Fire averaging 15.8 points and grabbing 6.5 rebounds a game. Jordan Talley is also averaging in double figures scoring 11.8 a game. Talley is the top 3-point shooter on the Fire at 22 of 53 on the season. Southeastern shoots 44 percent from the floor on the season and averages 69.8 points a game.
