Tars Close Out Short Stay In Vegas With Tarleton State Wednesday.

The Rollins Tars and Tarleton State close out the Holiday Sports Tour Classic in Las Vegas with a 3 PM eastern tip at the Doolittle Center Wednesday.   Rollins was a 89-79 loser in the opener in Vegas on Tuesday. Jakobi Bonner led the Tars in scoring with 20 points- while Hutton Yenor added 12.  Eric Castaneda and Connor McKim each had 11 in a losing effort.  Rollins shot 47 percent from the field in the defeat.  The Tars were dominated on the boards 39-18. Rollins committed 16 turnovers and forced 26 on the day Tuesday. They shot 36 percent (9-25) from the 3-point line- and- shot at a 69 percent clip (22-32) from the free throw line.
  The Texans were a 59-50 winner in a defensive battle against LeMoyne on Tuesday.  Josh Hawley paced the Texans with 24 points and Jesse Hill had 18 in the win. They each established new career highs in the contest.  The Texans shot 58 percent from the field- 46 percent (6-13) from the 3-point line- and- 25 percent (1-4) at the free throw line.  The Texans dominated the glass with a +17 (35-18) rebounding advantage over the Dolphins.  They had 16 assists and 16 turnovers in the contest.
