The Rollins Tars will look to get back on track Friday night when they welcome the Lake Erie College Storm to Warden Arena. The Tars are coming off a 100-95 loss to Warner on Wednesday night.
After winning two games to begin the season, The Tars (2-1) suffered their first defeat on Wednesday as they opened the home portion of there schedule. Rollins comes into Friday's contest averaging 77.0 points per game on the young season.
Jakobi Bonner is one of four Rollins players averaging in double figures on the year. Bonner comes in putting up 15 points per contest- and- the senior is coming off a team high 20 in the loss to Warner. Dayton Gumm is putting up 14 points per night- Brooks Cluxton scores 11.7 a night- and- Trevor Recio nets 11.3 per contest. Hutton Yenor has come on strong of late and is putting up 9.7 a contest.
Lake Erie (1-2) is coming off a 81-67 win over Wright State Lake on Tuesday night. The Storm tallied four players in double figures in the contest paced by Kaleb Vaughn with 16. Gabe Kynard posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds- while Mitch Loomis tallied 13. Erron James also scored in double figures with 12. The Storm are averaging 66.7 points per game as a team in the early season. Kynard is the only Lake Erie playing averaging in double figures putting up 13.3 per night- while Vaughn is not far behind putting up 9.7 a game.
The Tars and Storm have only met one time previously with the Storm coming away with a 79-65 win in the Winter Park Tangerine Tournament on December 29, 2012.
