Rollins Closes Home stand with Warner

 The Rollins College Tars (3-2) hit the hardwood for the second straight day as they take on the Warner Royals at Warden Arena inside the Alfond Sports Center tonight (11/25.) Tip time is set for 7 PM with Robert Segsl and Jim "Shooter" Ferro on the call. 

 Rollins is coming off a 90-63 win over Puerto Rico Bayamon last night. Omar Figueroa paced Rollins with 16 points, Jah Nze had 15, and Mayson Quartelblaum had 14 points to go with nine rebounds. The Tars used a significant size advantage to dominate the paint 38-14 in points and on the glass 50-27. The Tars score 86.6 points per game while they give up 75 per night. They shoot 49 percent from the field and 40.5 percent from the 3-point line. The Tars look to improve at the free throw line where they are shooting 65.6 percent. They are 13.4 (42.2- 28.8) in rebounding, dish out 18.8 assists per game, turn the ball over 12.4 times per game, steal it 6.4 times per contest, and block three shots per night. Nze leads the team in scoring at 18.6 points per game, while he is joined in double figures by Figueroa (16 points a night,) Marshall Klug (11.2 per contest,) and Jackson Gaffney (10.2 per game.) Matus Malovec leads the team grabbing 5.6 rebounds per game while Quartlebaum gets 5.2 per contest. Figueroa and Malovec each have 14 assists to lead the team. 

 Warner (1-7) has lost five straight. The last time out the Royals lost 82-58 to Keiser University. Seth Chillders led Warner with 13 points and nine assists, Jamal Norris added 12, and they got 10 from David Darling. Warner only shot 36.4 percent from the field, 28 percent (7-25) from the 3-point line, and 61.1 percent (11-18) from the free throw line in the loss. On the year they score 74.3 points per game while they give up 80.4 per contest. They shoot 43.6 percent from the field, 31.3 percent from the 3-point line, and 67.2 percent from the free throw line. They are -4.1 (30.0-34.1) rebounds per game while they dish out 13 assists per night, turn the ball over 11.4 times per game, get 7.8 steals, and block 1.9 shots per night.  Jack Voth leads the team in scoring at 21.3 points per game (only three games played,) Josh Irwin gets 16.4 per night, Norris scores 15.9 per contest, and Bryson Castillo nets 14.3 per game. Irwin ;leads the team grabbing 8.1 rebounds per contest while Childers dishes out 7.5 assists per game to lead the squad.
