Tars Finnish Vegas Trip, Battle Vikings.

The Rollins College Tars (7-2) coming off a huge 85-75 win over 5th ranked Central Washington Thursday night will take on the Vikings of Western Washington Friday. It will be the second and final game of the Great Western Shootout for the Tars. Rollins is led by Nick Wolf. Wolf coming off a 30 point outburst on Thursday night has taken over the team's scoring lead (19.3 PPG). Matt Robertson (18.1 PPG) is now second on the Tars in scoring. Myk Brown (15.3 PPG) is closing quickly after a slow start to the season. The VCU transfer and Gainesville native is coming off a 23 point game last night. The Tars come into the contest averaging 80.4 PPG. Rollins is riding a modest two game win streak.
Western Washington (6-2) is coming off a 88-56 loss at the hands of Cal State Bernadino. The thrashing stopped a 5 game win streak for the Vikings. The Vikings have three players averaging in double figures on the season. Shedrick Nelson leads the way at 15.4 PPG. Michael Duty comes in netting 13.6 points and 6.1 rebounds a contest. Rory Blanche averages 12.1 PPG for the Vikings. The Vikings come into Friday's game averaging 87.4 points per contest. Western is deadly from beyond the three point line at 38% on the season. Nelson is a very solid three point shooter at 44% on the year. Point guard Derek Dickerson comes into the game averages only 8.8 points a contest, but the Vikings point guard is a 56% three point shooter. The Vikings are solid at the foul line shooting at a 70% clip. Duty is 83% from the charity stripe. This one should be another stiff challenge for the Tars.
