The Rollins College Tars will look to continue their winning ways Thursday night in the championship game of the 36th annual Winter Park Rotary Tangerine Tournament. The Tars improved to 21-2 all time in the Tangerine tournament with a 81-68 win over Washington Adventist on Wednesday night. Nick Wolf (28 points), Matt Robertson (12) and Myk Brown (10) continue to be the Tars three leading scorers as they have been all season. The Tars will face Winston Salem State in the final. The Rams (5-0) won in overtime against Flagler in the opener Wednesday. The Rams came into the tournament averaging 76.5 points a game and allowing just 60.2. Shelton Carter leads the way for the Rams. He is coming off a 32 point game against Flagler Wednesday. Paul Davis continued his stellar play with 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Davis is averaging a double-double on the season. The Rams and Tars have met 1 other time with Rollins winning 58-55 in the 1999-2000 Tangerine Tournament.

In the consolation game at 5 PM the Saints of Flagler (6-2) will battle the Shock of Washington Adventist (2-9). Chris Kinney (22 points) and Eric Peguero (16) led the Shock in Wednesday's loss. WAU struggled shooting the ball (33% from the field) and 26% from long range in the loss to host Rollins.
Flagler has now lost two straight after Wednesday's loss in Winter Park. The Saints started out the season with 6 straight wins. Four Saints scored in double figures on the day. Eddie Fowler led the way with 19 points. Kenny Moore netted 18. John Pietkiewciz added 15 and DJ Ferguson had 10 points along with 12 assists in the Flagler loss.
