Rollins Battles NSU Wednesday.

The Rollins Tars (14-11 10-7 SSC) began a crucial point in there schedule when they hit the road to take on the Nova Southeastern Sharks on Wednesday night. The Sharks (16-6 10-6 SSC) and the Tars have been heading in opposite directions of late. The Tars have lost four straight-while NSU has reeled off four straight wins.   Rollins is coming off a pair of losses last week. the rallied from a 24 point deficit to take the lead before falling to Florida Southern Wednesday night. Then they were defeated 89-83 by Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday.  In Saturday's game Jeff Merton paced the tars with 14 points- Connor McKim and Jack Fleming each scored 13- while Jakobi Bonner netted 12.
 Sam  Philpott leads the Tars in scoring at 18.7 points per night but is currently out with an injury.  Merton puts up 15.6 points per night and hauls in 4.6 rebounds a contest- while Eric Castaneda scores 12 points a night and averages 4.6 rebounds per contest.  Connor McKim (11.4 Ppg-) and- Deion Clark (11.3 ppg) also score in double figures.  The Tars average 84.4 per game- while they give up 82.1 a night.  Rollins is just 3-7 on the road this season.
  The Sharks come into the game having won four straight fresh off a 73-68 win over Eckerd on Saturday.  Dwayne Gibson led the way with 26 points and is the reigning SSC Player Of The Week.  Nick Smith and Malik hardy each chipped in 10.  David Dennis leads the Sharks and is fifth in the SSC at 20.4 points per game- he also grabs 6.4 rebounds- and- dishes out 6.9 assists a night.  Hardy nets 15.5 a game- while Smith puts up 12.9 per night.  NSU is the best offense in the SSC at 91.7 points a game. On the defensive end they give up 86.5  a night.
  In the first meeting Rollins snapped a four game losing streak with a 81-71 win.  Philpott led the way with 21 points in that game- Jack Fleming added 15- and- Connor McKim scored 14 in the victory.   Rollins shot 50 percent from the field- 38 percent (8-21) from the 3-point line-and- 85 percent (23-27) at the free throw line.
  NSU was led by Nick Smith with 19 points- David Dennis added 17- and- Gerard Tarin added 12.  The Sharks shot 37 percent- just 25 percent (8-32) from the 3-point line- and- 85 percent (17-20) at the free throw line.
