Rollins Battles ERAU In Conference Opener To Close Home Stand.

The Rollins Tars will close a five game home stand when they welcome the Embry-Riddle Eagles to Warden Arena inside the Alfond Sports Center. Tip time is set for 7:30 PM and you can catch all the action on RollinsSports.com
 The Tars (4-2) will look to finish the five game home stand with a winning record. They lost the first two games- before coming out victorious in the last two. The last time out Rollins was a 101-87 winner over Webber International. Four Rollins players scored in double figures in the victory. Hutton Yenor drained six 3-pointer's on his way to a team leading 25 points off the bench- Jakobi Bonner added 19- while Connor McKim just missed a double-double scoring 18 points- and- dishing out a team leading nine assists. Dayton Gumm rounded out the double digit scorers with 12 points of his own. The Tars shot a blistering 55 percent from the floor- and- 55 percent (18-33) from the 3-point line. They shot at a 73 percent clip (11-15) at the free throw line. They also won the rebounding battle 35-31. The Tars had 23 assists- and- 14 turnovers in the contest.
 Bonner leads the season box score putting up 18.5 points per contest- he is followed by Yenor who is scoring 12.8 per night- while Gumm (12 per game) and Trevor Recio (10.3 per night) are also averaging double figures. Recio leads the team in rebounding at 8.3 per contest- while Brooks Cluxton is grabbing 6.7 rebounds per night. McKim leads the team in assists at 3.8 per contest. Rollins is scoring 82.5 points per game as a team- while defensively they allow 74.3 per night.
  ERAU (7-1 1-1 SSC) is coming off a 101-83 win over Ave Maria on Saturday. The lone loss for the Eagles was 95-89 to Lynn on 11/23.  The Eagles had six players tally double figures in the win over Ave Maria Saturday. Romeo Crouch poured in a game high 29 points to lead the way, as he nailed seven 3-pointer's- Dru Nickson added 13- Luka Majstorovic added 12- while Chris Murray- CJ Henagan- and- Nick Heard all chipped in 10. ERAU shot 46 percent from the field- 38 percent (11-29) from the 3-point line- and- 82 percent (18-22) from the free throw line. They had 26 assists and 14 turnovers in the contest. The Eagles dominated on the boards winning the rebounding battle 53-30.
  Majostorovic leads ERAU in scoring at 18.3 points per night- and- also leads them on the boards grabbing 8.1 rebounds per night. Crouch scores 18 per game- and- is shooting 48 percent from the 3-point line. He also leads the team in assists at nearly six per contest. Elijah Jenkins is scoring 17.7 per game- while Chris Murray averages 10.4 points and eight rebounds per contest. The Eagles average 99.4 points per game- while they give up 83 points per night. They also have been very good on the boards where they are out rebounding teams by more than nine rebounds per contest (46.8-37.4.)  They also average five more assists a game than the opposition (23.6-18.5)  They are averaging more than three steals per game more than the opponent (10.1-6.9.)  A problem for the Eagles has been turnovers as they are turning the ball over seven more times a game than the opponent (19.1-12.1.)
