The Rollins Tars (10-10 4-6 SSC) look to return the favor to the Eckerd Tritons at the McArthur Center Saturday afternoon. The Tritons were a 66-59 winner at Warden Arena back on January 11th. A win for the Tars would even the season series with both teams winning on the other's home court.
Rollins is coming off a 72-57 loss at home versus Tampa. 32 of the Tars 48 field goal attempts were 3-pointer's in the loss. Mitch Woods paced the Tars with 17 in the loss- while Adam Allen added 14.
Woods comes into Saturday leading the Tars on the season averaging 14 points a night. Woods also averages 3.2 assists a contest. Alex Blessig is having a solid sophomore season averaging 10.3 points- and just under four assists a night. Allen is scoring 9.8 a night for Rollins.
The Tars continue to excel at the defensive end where they are leading the conference allowing 63.9 points a game. As good as the Tars have been on defense this season, they have struggled at the offensive end.
Eckerd (12-9 4-5 SSC) comes in winners of three of the past four. The Tritons were a 94-90 loser to Nova Southeastern the last time out, The Tritons had three players in double figures in the loss. Ales Bodney was the top scorer with 23 points- Josh Snodgrass scored 19 off the bench- and- Jerrick Stevenson added 18.
Stevenson is the Tritons top scorer at 15.2 a night- Snodgrass averages 12.5- and Bodney puts up 11.8 a night.
