The Rollins Tars (9-3 2-1 SSC) will face a tough road test when they battle the Barry Buccaneers (8-3 2-1 SSC) in Miami Shores,Fla. on Saturday. As always you can catch all the action on the Geico Tars Sports Network at RollinsSports.com and on 91.5 FM WPRK Winter Park. Tip time is set for 4 PM.
The Tars have dropped three straight after winning nine in a row to begin the season. The last two being against top 10 teams in the country in the South Point Classic in Las Vegas. The last time out Rollins fell 87-76 to Angelo State on December 19th. The Tars had a pair of players score in double figures in the loss. Jeff Merton led the way with 19 points- while Mike Bedulskis added 15. The Tars were dominated on the glass 50-31 in the defeat. The Tars average 83.1 points a game as a team. On the other end, they are allowing 71.6 points a contest.

Barry comes in to this one at 5-0 on the year at the home. They were the preseason favorite to win the SSC. After starting out with a pair of losses the Bucs have won eight straight. Last game was a 92-78 victory over Southern Nazarene on December 19th in Lynn's Boca Raton Holiday Classic. The Bucs were sizzling from the 3-point line in that one going 16 of 31. The 16 3-pointer's were one short of tying the school record for 3-pointer's in a game.
The Bucs are ninth in the country and tops in the SSC putting up 92.6 points a game. The Bucs are also tough on the boards were they average 31.2 rebounds a contest.
Yunio Barreta leads the way for the Bucs and is leading the league in scoring at 23.5 points per game. Anders Haas is also having a solid year putting up 15 points a contest.
