Tars Battle Lynn In Last Road Tilt Of Year.

The Rollins Tars (18-7 10-4 SSC) head to Boca Raton to take on the Lynn Fighting Knights (11-12 5-9 SSC) in the final road tilt of the season.  The game will tip at 4 PM from the D'Hoernle Center.   Rollins is coming off a big 92-87 win over #17 Barry at home.  The win was #650 in the illustrious coaching career of Tom Klusman. Klusman became just the fifth active coach to reach the 650 win plateau.  The Tars shot 51 percent and went 19-25 from the free throw line in there latest victory.
  Rollins saw six players score in double figures in the win. Sam Philpott tallied his first double-double of the season (20 points and 10 rebounds-) Deion Clark added 18 despite missing practice the two days prior to the game with a finger injury (went 7 of 7 from the floor-) Jeff Merton and Sharif Almulla added 14 points each- Alex Blessig had 13- while James Ferrell added 11 points and nine assists.
  The Tars come into Saturday fourth in the SSC in scoring at 83 points per game. They are the top team in the league in field goal percentage (49 percent.)  The Tars also are the top free throw shooting team in the conference (80 percent.)
  Jeff Merton leads the Tars and is in the top 10 in the SSC at 15.4 points a game- Philpott also has had a solid year averaging 12.4 per game- while Almulla was scoring 11.4 a game prior to his 14 point performance last time out.
  The Fighting Knights come into the game off a 82-79 win over Florida Tech the last time out.  Jamal Palmer scored 20 points, and Ben Berry nailed the game winning 3-pointer for Lynn.
Palmer led Lynn with 20 points (all in the second half-) Berry hit five 3-pointer's en route to his 15 point evening.   Fred Landers also scored in double figures with 14 points- while Vieux Kande just missed a double-double (nine points and 10 rebounds.)
 Lynn is sixth in the SSC on offense scoring 82 points a game- while they sit seventh on the defensive end allowing 82.4 per game.
 The Fighting Knights are paced by Landers averaging 20 points a contest- while David Johnson scores 14 a night.
