Rollins-Saint Leo Both Searching For A Win Saturday.

The Rollins Tars and Saint Leo Lions are having very similar seasons. Both teams are struggling coming into Saturday evenings game at the Marion Bowman Activities Center on the campus of Saint Leo.   Rollins (8-8 2-5 SSC) is coming off arguably it's worst loss of the season when they fell to Nova Southeastern at the "Shark Tank" on Wednesday night.  The Tars scored 59 and 56 points in the past two contest. This is the same team that scored 100 points or more in four straight games earlier this season. Last time out was a 63-56 loss to Nova.
  Sam Philpott leads the Tars box score at 15 points per game. The junior from Nobelsville,Indiana has struggled during the recent slide though. Philpott also grabs 4.1 rebounds a game.  Jeff Merton puts up 14.8 points and grabs 5.1 rebounds a night.  Merton eclipsed the 1,000 point mark in the game at NSU.  Joey Galvis scores 10 points a game. The senior from Tampa Jesuit is leading the SSC in steals at 2.4 per game. That is 20th in the nation in Division II.
  As a team the Tars average 79.7 points a game. At the other end they are giving up 80.3 points a contest.  They continue to struggle, being out rebounded by 6.5 boards a game by their opponents.  They lead the SSC and are seventh nationally with 9.4 steals per contest.
  Saint Leo (7-9 2-5 SSC) has dropped the last two games. They were a loser to Lynn on Wednesday night.  Marcus Dewberry leads the Lions at 19.8 points per game. He did not play against Lynn on Wednesday.  Dewberry has scored 20 points or more in four consecutive games.  Justin Satchell is averaging 16.1 points and 6.9 rebounds a night- while Tyreece Brice scores 11.7 points and dishes out 4.7 assists a game.  Saint Leo scores 79.5 points a game, while they give up 80.1 per night.
  The teams split a pair of meeting last season, each winning at home.
