Bonner Gets To 1,000 in Tars Loss.

Jakobi Bonner became a member of the 1,000 point club on Saturday but the Rollins Tars fell 92-80 to Palm Beach Atlantic at Rubin Arena. With the loss Rollins falls to 8-7 and 2-5 in the SSC. PBA improved to 11-4 and 4-3 in the SSC with the win.
 Bonner led Rollins with 19- Kyle Marion netted 14- Connor McKim tallied 13- Cade Long got 11- and- Trevor Recio chipped in 10. Rollins shot 45 percent as a team- 37 percent (11-30) from the 3-point line- and- 72 percent (13-18) from the free throw line. The tars had 15 assists- and- seven turnovers.
PBA was led by Dahrius Nunn and De'Ondre Jackson who poured in 24 points each- Jules Jasmin added 21- and- Dan Largey and 16. The Sailfish shot 57 percent from the field- 65 percent (17-25) from the 3-point line- 60 percent (15-25) from the free throw line-and- won the rebounding battle 41-25. The Sailfish had 25 assists- and- 14 turnovers.
 PBA  jumped out 18-7 in the early going.  The Tars got to within six- before PBA stretched the lead to 35-21. Rollins closed the half on a 10-3 run but still trailed 50-42 at the break.
 Rollins scored the opening basket of the second half but then the lead was stretched back to 11. It was 55-48 PBA with just under 17 minutes to go. The Tars would then not score for nearly seven minutes and the game was all but decided. Rollins would get to single digits one more time but that would be as close as they would get.
