Rollins Falls To ERAU.

The Rollins Tars got 22 points from Jakobi Bonner-amd- 19 from Kyle Marion but it was not enough in a 98-81 loss at the ICI Center. With the loss Rollins falls to 10-9 and 4-7 in the SSC. The Eagles improve to 14-6 and 6-6 in the SSC with the win.
As mentioned earlier Bonner- and- Marion led the way for the Tars. They shot 44 percent from the field- 38 percent (13-34) from the 3-point line- and- 74 percent (14-19) at the free throw line. Rollins had 19 assists- and- 13 turnovers in the contest.
The high octane Eagles  were led by Nick Heard who poured in a game high 35 points- Luka Majostorovic added 17- and- Romeo Crouch chipped in 14- and- a team leading 11 assists. The Eagles shot a sizzling 62 percent from the floor- 53 percent (19-36) from the 3-point line- and- were a perfect 11 of 11 from the free throw line. ERAU won the rebounding battle 34-26. They had 30 assists- and- 15 turnovers as a team.
After a 15-5 start by ERAU Rollins would get to within one (17-16) after a Bonner 3-ball at the 13:26 mark. It would be a five point game (29-24) when the Eagles went on a 19-0 run as the Tars would go more than six minute without a field goal until a Marion layup at the 2:16 mark. Marion would get it to 18 with a 3-pointer- but Tylin Locket-Fuller would hit a three of his own to make it 51-30 Eagles at the half.
The second half would be more of the same as the Eagles would cruise to the victory in the second stanza. Rollins will look to bounce back Saturday when they take on Tampa. Tip time is set for 4 PM. You can catch all the action on 91.5 FM WPRK and on RollinsSports.com
