Myk Brown hit a 18-footer with 2.9 seconds to go that would prove to be the game winner as Rollins got a huge 71-70 win over Lynn at the Count and Countess D'hoernle Sport and Activities Center Wednesday night. The win improved the Tars to 10-4 on the year and 3-1 in the Sunshine State Conference. With the loss, the Fighting Knights dropped to 9-7 (2-2).

The game would go back and forth for much of the way, as the first 14 minutes saw seven lead changes and four ties. The Tars would go on a 14-0 spurt after the game was tied at 24 to take a 38-24 lead behind the 3-point shooting of Scott Schuette. Lynn would counter with a 7-0 run of their own to cut the Tar lead to seven (38-31) at the half.
The first ten and a half minutes of the second half would go back and forth until Rollins would take a 56-51 lead on a Diakite three ball. Lynn would rattle off the next seven points and retake the lead at 58-56. Each team would have another run before the game was tied at 65 with 2:10 to go. Diakite would nail a pair of free throws before Fountain would drain a three to give Lynn a one point lead with a minute to go. Diakite would get fouled and hit another pair of free throws to put the Tars back up one. After a Rollins loose ball foul Miljanic would hit a pair of free throws to put the Knights back up one with nine seconds to go. The Tars would answer as Brown's jumper with 2.9 would give them the lead for good. Malcolm would swat away a game winning try from Miljanic at the top of the key as time expired.
