#24 Rollins Staves Off Pesky Knights.

The 24th ranked Rollins College Tars (13-2 5-0 SSC) remained unbeaten in conference play with a 80-63 win over a pesky Lynn Fighting Knights squad at Warden Arena Saturday.  Rollins is still the only unbeaten team in the SSC.
  The Tars saw four of five starters score in double figures Saturday. Adam Allen paced the Tars with 19 points on five of eight 3-point shooting.  Mitch Woods, Dave Diakite and Kyle McClanahan posted 13 points each for Rollins.  The Tars shot the ball extremely well on Saturday.  They shot 53 percent 26-49) from the field and were a sizzling 15-25 (60 percent) including 9-13 (69 percent in the first half) from the 3-point line.  The Tars shot at a 72 percent clip (13-18) at the foul line.  Each team had 24 rebounds.  The Tars had 20 assists and 11 turnovers.
  The Fighting Knights fell to 9-6 (2-4 SSC.)  Slobodan Miljanic and Jeremy Lampkin led the Fighting Knights with 14 points each, while Kevin Ohen had 10.  Lynn shot 52 percent from the field and hit seven of 18 3-pointers.  The Knights had 12 assists and 17 turnovers.
  After Lynn opened the game with a 3-pointer on the first possession, the Tars would run off the next 11 straight and lead 11-3.  Lynn would cut the lead to three (17-14) before a Kyle McClanahan three would make it 20-14 with 9:29 in the half.  The Fighting Knights would then come back and tie the game at 29 with 2:40 in the opening stanza.  After Chris Uhle and McClanahan hit threes late in the half the Tars would lead 36-31 at the break.
  The Tars would come out hot in the second half and after a 14-5 start would lead 50-36 with 15:30 to go.  The Tars would stretch that lead to 21 (60-39) at the 9:47 mark and cruise to a fifth straight win.
  The Tars will be back in action when they travel to Miami Shores to take on Barry. Tip time is set for 7:30 PM on Wednesday night.  Catch all the action at RollinsSports.com
