Tars Battle Rattlers Saturday.

The Rollins College Tars (0-1) will look to rebound from a poor shooting opener when they face the Rattlers of Saint Mary's (Texas)(0-1)  in the second game of the Las Vegas Tip off Classic at the Doolittle Center on Saturday.
Rollins was a 65-42 loser in it's opening contest vs Washburn last night. The Tars were let by Chris Uhle's nine point effort. Mitch Woods added six and four rebounds.  Scott Schuette had five to go along with six rebounds, while Jeff Dirkin also added five and five boards.  The Tars will look to improve on a dreadful shooting opener on Saturday. Friday night the Tars shot 25 percent from the floor and just 11 percent from the 3-point line. They also must cut down on the 22 turnovers that they committed if they are to leave Vegas with a split.
The Ratttlers  also lost the opener in Vegas.  They were a 61-54 loser to Missouri Southern State.  The Rattlers were led by Christian Bower who scored 10 points. Justin Alexander and Marvin Witt added eight each. The Rattlers shot 42 percent from the floor in the loss and hit 36 percent (5-14) from the 3-point line. The Rattlers made just three free throws, going three of nine (33 percent) for the night. They had 13 assists in the loss and were doomed by 27 turnovers.
The line: Saint Mary's by 14
