Tars Hit The Road Wednesday.

The Rollins Tars (7-6 2-2 SSC) start a three road swing with a trip to Boca Raton to battle the Fighting Knights of Lynn (6-7 0-3 SSC) at 7:30 inside of the Count and Countess de Hoernle Sport and Activities Center Wednesday.
The Tars are coming off a split of a pair of games a week ago. Wednesday the bench came up big in a win at the Clemente Center at Florida Tech by a score of 73-67.  On Saturday the Tars bench was good  again but the play of the starters was not enough in a 66-59 loss to Eckerd.  Mitch Woods averaged 20 points a game a week ago and is the lone Tar averaging in double figures at 13.5 points a game. He had 17 points-  six rebounds- and six assists Saturday.  Scott Schuette also had a solid week last week as he scored in double figures in both games. This included a 15 point performance and what proved to be the game winner in the win at Florida Tech.
The Tars zone continues to stymie opponents. Rollins is eight nationally and best in the Sunshine State Conference  allowing 61.8 points a game. On the other end, the Tars have struggled and are ninth in the conference averaging 67.7 points a game. Alex Blessig (9.6 points) and Adam Allen (9.4 points) are the Tars next two top scorers.
Lynn comes in having lost five of six. The Fighting Knights are coming off a 85-74 loss to Florida Southern Saturday in Boca.  Lynn is scoring 74 points a game and giving up 73 a contest.
Aaron Harrison is fourth in the SSC and leads the Fighting Knights at 18.2 points a night.  He is second in the SSC hauling in 10.4 rebounds a night.  Fred Landers is averaging 13.3 points a game- and the Knights also have Kaleb Clyburn posting 10 points a night.
