The game saw the Tars take a 12-11 lead eight minutes in after a Blessig lay up. Then three straight Pospical 3-pointer's would give Warner a 20-12 lead.  The Tars would then run off the next seven to cut the lead to one (20-19) but Warner would answer and take a 34-28 lead into the locker room.
The second half would see the Tars regain the lead at 40-36, as Jeff Dirkin would trigger a run from the top of the 1-3-1 zone that forced three steals.  The lead would be short lived as the Royals would tie the game at 40.  The Tars would regain the lead at 43-40 before Ansley would hit back to back 3-pointer's to give Warner a three point lead (46-43.)  Mike Bedulskis would tie the game at 46 with a old-fashioned three point play at the 9:35 mark.  Ansley would drill another three to give the Royals the lead right back for good.  Sharif Almulla would get the Tars within a point (59-58) with 1:45 to go.  The Tars would have a chance to tie or take the lead but Blessig would miss the front end of a one and one.  After the miss Keevis Tuckes would put the game away with a 3-pointer that gave the Royals a 64-58 lead with 23 seconds to go.
