Tars Host Royals In Home Opener Tuesday.

The Rollins Tars (2-0) begin the home portion of there schedule when they host the Warner Royals at Warden Arena Tuesday night.
  Rollins got a pair of wins in the opening weekend of the season in the SSC/SIAC Tournament. The SSC went 4-0 in the tourney.  Rollins beat Clark Atlanta 80-76, with Florida Tech knocking off Paine. On Saturday the Tars were a 65-51 winner before Florida Tech knocked off Clark Atlanta in the nightcap.
  The Tars were led in the opening game by Sharif Almulla and Chris UHF who put up 16 points each. Alex Blessig and Scott Schuette scored 12 apiece for the Tars.  Rollins shot 46 percent and went 10-26 from the 3-point line.  On the defensive end they held Clark-Atlanta to 36 percent shooting and six of 22 from the 3-point line.
  In the win over Paine  Uhle led three seniors in double figures with 15 points.  Jeff Dirkin and Schuette each scored 14 as well.  The Tars shot 51 percent in the victory and went seven of 21 from the 3-point line.  Once again the Tars were solid on defense as they held Paine to 36 percent shooting and five of 19 from the 3-point line.
  The Royals come into Tuesday's contest with a 5-1 record.  The Royals were a loser against Florida Atlantic the last time out.  Warner comes into the game averaging 84.8 points a contest while giving up just 53.6 per night.
  Three Royals average double figures thus far this season.  Warren Hall leads the way at 19.4 points a night- Eddie Delegal scores 13.6 a game- while Bladimyr Santiago is netting 12 points a contest.  The    Royals are shooting 49.7 percent from the field and 38.6 percent from the 3-point line. They have struggled at the foul line shooting 67.7 percent.  The Royals are coached by Sean Hanrahan.  Hanrahan was an assistant at Rollins from 1999-2001.  He is now in his ninth season at Warner after being an assistant at Florida Southern.
