The Rollins Tars (2-2 2-0 SSC) take a break from conference action, as they welcome Puerto Rico Bayamon to Warden Arena inside the Alfond Sports Center. You can catch all the action on RollinsSports.com with Robert Segal and Jim "Shooter" Ferro. Tip time is set for 7 PM.
Rolins is coming off a 82-76 win over Lynn at the D'Hoernle Center on Saturday. It was a balanced attack that led the Tars to victory. Reigning SSC Player Of The Week Sam Philpott paced the Tars with 24 points- Deion Clark tallied 16- Eric Castaneda scored 15- and- Jeff Merton returned from a two game absence to score 10. Connor McKim had 10 assists for the Tars.
The Tars come into Tuesday, averaging 87.5 points per game on the offensive end. They are just 1-2 inside Warden Arena thus far this season. They are shooting 43 percent from the 3-point line as a team- while shooting 52 percent from the field.
Philpott is leading the team in scoring at more than 24 points per contest- Merton is scoring 15 a game- while McKim was averaging 15 points- 6.7 assists- and- 5.3 assists a game before his seven points and 10 assist performance on Saturday.
Tuesday will be the first game of the season for Bayamon. They are coming off a 16-20 season a year ago.
