Surging Tars Host ERAU Wednesday.

The Rollins Tars winners of four straight will host the Eagles of Embry-Riddle in a conference matchup Wednesday evening at Warden Arena. You can catch all the action with Robert Segal on the call and Jim "Shooter" Ferro doing the color at RollinsSports.com.
  Rollins comes in at 4-2 on the season. The last time out the Tars were a 66-64 winner over Florida Memorial.  In that contest the Tars had four players score in double figures led by 18 points from Sam Philpott.  Jeff Merton and Eric Castaneda added 12- while- Deion Clark scored 11.  The Tars shot 41 percent in that contest, but just 27 percent from the 3-point line.  They also struggled at the free throw line where they shot 64 percent (9-14.)  They had 16 assists and just eight turnovers in the victory.
  On the season box score the Tars are led by Philpott who is averaging 24.3 points per game, which is good for third in the SSC and 22nd in the country.  Eric Castaneda is scoring 15.5 points a game- Merton has averaged 14.0 points and 4.8 rebounds a game despite missing a pair of games with an injury.  Connor McKim is scoring 11.7 points a game and is dishing out 5.5 assists a night as well.  The Tars are scoring 85.5 points a game as a team (fourth in the SSC-) and- giving up 81.8 points a night (10th in the SSC.)
  The Eagles come into Wednesday 4-3 and 0-2 in its first season as a full member of the SSC.  The Eagles fell to Palm Beach Atlantic (92-70-) and- Saint Leo (82-78) in conference play thus far this year.
 Rudy Bibb-Boyd is the leading scorer for ERAU at 18.2 points a night, that is good for eighth in the SSC.  Nashad Mackey is averaging 15.7 points and 11.9 rebounds a night.  Ognjen Miljokvic averages 14 a night- and- Luka Majstorovic is putting up 12 a night, while blocking two shots per game.  The Eagles are in the middle of the conference in both offense (85.7 ppg-) and- defense (77.7 ppg.)  They block 4.6 shot a night- and- lead the league in offensive rebounding.
