The 23rd ranked Rollins College Tars (19-4 11-1 SSC) look to continue there mastery against Saint Leo on Saturday at Warden Arena. The Tars have beaten the Lions 26 straight times. Rollins has won ten straight overall, all in the SSC. The win streak is the longest since a 12 gamer in the 2002-03 season. The Tars are coming off a 70-54 win at Barry on Wednesday. The Tars come in averaging 77.2 points a night while allowing just 68.1. The Tars also lead the SSC in scoring margin (+9.1). The Tars have three players averaging double figures on the season. Nick Wolf leads the SSC in both points per game (20.1) and rebounds per game (10.3). Wolf has been rock solid all season long. He needs just 31 points to be the Tars third all time leading scorer. Wolf also has a streak of 80 consecutive games in which he has scored double figures. Matt Robertson has had a solid Senior season as well. The Senior from Birmingham averages 14.6 points and 5.8 rebounds a game. Myk Brown who averages 13.3 points a night and leads the SSC as a 87% free throw shooter will not play due to the lingering effects from a concussion suffered earlier this week. Alex Castillo who has been solid of late likely will get the nod in Brown's place.
Saint Leo has had a season to forget thus far. The Lions come in at 10-12 (1-11 SSC). The Lions have dropped five straight. Saint Leo was a 95-84 loser to Florida Southern on Wednesday. The Lions average 73.8 points a game while giving up 75.0 points per game. The Lions do have a marquee victory on their slate as they knocked off Valdosta State in the SSC/GSC Challenge back in November. The Lions are just 2-6 on the road this season and just 1-5 in conference road games. Two Lions score in double figures on the season. Matt Kendrick averages 12.1 points a contest and 6.5 rebounds a night. Quentin Cullop averages 11.0 a game while Jamal Thompson chips in 9.8.
