The Rollins College Tars (21-6 12-3 SSC) fell for a second straight game with a 77-66 loss to the Panthers of Florida Tech Wednesday.
The Tars were led by Nick Wolf. The Senior from Cincinnati had 27 points and 12 rebounds. Wolf surprassed the 1,000 rebound plateau Wednesday. Myk Brown added ten points and Matt Robertson had 7. The Tars shot 40 percent from the field but were just 1-19 from three point land. The Tars were 19-25 from the foul line. They had just 11 assists and 14 turnovers.
Florida Tech (19-10 9-6 SSC) got a big win at the Clemente Center on Senior night. Justin Sedlak led the way with 21 points for FIT. Anthony Jackson scored 20 while Justin Beyer added 18 on six three pointers.Beyer made his first career start and averaged just 1.9 points a game coming in. The Panthers shot 48 percent from the field and 39% from three point land. The Panthers went 11-20 from the foul line. It was 37-34 F.I.T on the boards.
The first half went back and forth. It was 34-32 Rollins at the intermission. The second half saw the Panthers take over late in the second half. Rollins trailed 62-61 with 4:57 to go before the Panthers would close the game on a 15-5 run for the win.
The Tars will close out the regular season with a home tilt against Lynn. The Senior night game will be set for 4 PM at Warden Arena. Four Rollins Seniors (Matt Robertson, Alex Castillo, Nick Wolf and Nikola Baran will be honored before Saturday's contest.
