The red hot Rollins Tars (18-4 10-1 SSC) head to Miami Shores,Fla. to take on Barry at the Barry Student and Health Center on Wednesday evening. The Tars who are back in the national DII NABC Poll at number 23 will look for a 10th straight win Wednesday. The Tars are also 2nd in the most recently released South Regional standings. Rollins is coming off a 71-60 win at Eckerd that they trailed for the entire first half. The Tars average 77.5 points a game while allowing just 68.7 points a game. The Tars also are second in the conference in field goal percentage (48.4%) and free throw percentage (76.8%). Nick Wolf leads the Tars and is coming off his fourth SSC player of the week honor. He leads the conference scoring 20.0 ppg while he is second in rebounding (10.4). Wolf needs 52 points to pass Jeff Wolf for third on the all time scoring list at Rollins. Matt Robertson chips in 13.8 points a night and 5.9 rebounds. Myk Brown is netting 13.8 points a contest. The Tars won the first meeting with Barry 76-50.
The Buccaneers have been playing better of late. They come into the contest at 7-13 overall and 4-7 in the SSC. They have won three of the last four. Their last contest was a 61-44 loss to Florida Southern Saturday. Barry is last in the conference at 64.1 points a game. They only allow 67.4 points a night. Willie Whitfield has had another solid year for Barry. He comes in leading the conference in rebounds (10.5 a night). He is seventh in scoring at 15.4 ppg. He leads the conference in field goal percentage at 63.7% and blocks at 2.1 a night. Evan White nets 10.9 a game. Zach Trapp averages 10.8 a night.
