Tars Head To St.Pete Riding Hot Streak.

The Rollins College Tars (17-4 9-1 SSC) head to the McArthur Center to take on the Eckerd Tritons (15-5 6-4 SSC) on Saturday afternoon. Rollins comes into the game riding a eight game win streak. The last was a 78-65 home win over Tampa at Warden Arena. Rollins has won three straight on the road, after starting the conference season with 3 road losses. The Tars come into the game as one of the best foul shooting teams in the country shooting at a 77 percent clip. The Tars come in with three players averaging in double figures. Nick Wolf leads the Sunshine State conference at 20.4 points per game and is second in the conference at 10.4 rebounds a night. Wolf has a streak of 6 consecutive games with 20 points or more. He also has had five straight double-doubles. Wolf has 1,787 points which is third all time in Rollins history. The senior from Cincinnati needs just 65 points to pass his Uncle Jeff on the Tars scoring list. Wolf is just 2 assists shy of 300 for his career while he is second on the Rollins rebounding list with 942 career rebounds. Matt Robertson has also been solid for the Tars averaging 14.7 points and 6 rebounds a contest. Myk Brown comes in at 13.4 points a night. Brown has been bothered by a sore leg of late and has been limited to just 15 and 20 minutes in the last two games.
  Eckerd comes into Saturday's contest winners of four of the past five. The Tritons score 77.6 points a night and allow just 68.1. The Tritons have been tough at home where they have only been defeated once. John Harper leads Eckerd at 13.3 points a night including 43% from three point land. Lance Kearse scores 11.3 points  a game while Dale Carn averages 10.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. The Tritons lead the SSC in field goal percentage at 49%, as well as field goal defense (40%). The Tritons come off a loss at Barry on Wednesday night.
