The Rollins College Tars (21-4 12-1 SSC) look to clinch the outright regular season title at Jenkins Field House when they Battle the Florida Southern Mocs Saturday. The two teams shared the conference title a year ago with Florida Southern getting the top seed. The Tars won the conference tournament as the second seed.
Rollins is led by a trio of players in double figures. Nick Wolf is averaging a double-double (20 pts and 10 rebounds a night). Matt Robertson has been solid all year long. He averages 15 points and 6 boards a game. Myk Brown is likely to return after missing the past two games due to the lingering effects from a concussion. He averages 13.3 points a contest. The Tars average 78 points a game while allowing just 68. The Tars won the first meeting in Winter Park 79-68 on January 22nd.
Florida Southern is 18-7 overall and 9-4 in the SSC. The Mocs are 13-2 at home on the year. They have three players that average double figures on the year led by Rion Rayfield (16.2 PPG). Brandon Jenkins nets 12.8 points a game while Terry Jenkins adds 12.7. Terry did not play in the meeting at Rollins. The Mocs average 75.8 points a game while allowing 72.8 ppg.
