Rollins Travels To Tampa Wednesday.

The Rollins Tars looking to bounce back after a pair of sub par offensive performances last week will travel to the Bob Martinez Sports Center on the campus of the University of Tampa to battle the Spartans in SSC action Wednesday. Rollins comes in with a record of 8-6 and 2-4 in the SSC. On the other side of the ledger the Spartans come in 8-5 and 2-3 in the SSC.  Rollins is coming off a 71-60 loss to Barry last time out. Jakobi Bonner led the way with 21 points to go along with five rebounds- while Hutton Yenor had 18 with six rebounds. Eric Castaneda had 10 rebounds to lead the Tars on the glass. Bonner comes in as the leading scorer for Rollins averaging 15.6 points and 4.3 rebounds a game. Connor McKim is netting 13 a night and leads the team in assists at 2.6 per contest. Yenor has been instant offense off the Rollins bench as he is scoring 11 per game. The Tars are seventh on the offensive end putting up 76.9 points per game- while on defense they allow 73.6 a night which is fifth in the SSC.
 Tampa comes in winners of four of the last five but was upset by Palm Beach Atlantic last time out.  Cedric Belemene had 17 points and 16 rebounds for the Spartans in the loss- Anthony Gamble scored 13- and- Freddy Ibrahim posted 12.  Gamble leads the season box score at 16.9 points per game and also averaging 4.2 rebounds per contest. Mekhi Bifle averages 13.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per night- while Alberto Moreno nets 12.4 a game. Tampa is ninth in the SSC in offense scoring 75.7 ppg- while defensively they they allow a league third best 70.4 a night.
  The two teams feature two of the most iconic coaches in all of DII. Tom Klusman has won 701 games in his 38 years at Rollins- while Richard Schmidt has won 703 in his 38 seasons at Tampa.
