PBA Continues Tars Slide.

The Rollins Tars and Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish were tied at halftime Saturday at Warden Arena but the visitors would come away with the 91-80 win. With the victory PBA improves to 10-12 and 6-8 in the SSC. The Tars fall to 9-14 and 3-12 in the SSC with the loss.
 Jakobi Bonner scored 22 points to lead the way for Rollins- Hutton Yenor chipped in 16- and- Daniel Loh added 12. The Tars shot 54 percent as a team- 46 percent (10-22) from the 3-point line- and- 67 percent (12-18) from the free throw line. Rollins had 20 assists and 16 turnovers as a team.
 De'Ondre Jackson poured in a game high 25 points to lead PBA- Jules Jasmin scored 19- Bakari Warthen added 15- and- Paxton Wilson added 13. The Sailfish shot 55 percent from the field- 55 percent (12-22) from the 3-point line- and- 74 percent (25-34) at the free throw line. The Sailfish won the rebounding battle 29-26. They had 21 assists and 13 turnovers as a team.
   PBA led 8-7 five minutes in. The Tars would then score the next 10 points capped by a Loh jumper at the 12:10 mark of the first half. Rollins would lead 22-14 midway thru the first half. After PBA would pull to within one (32-31) at the 3:56 mark both teams would go cold. The next points would not come until a pair of Andrew Moemeka free throws at the 1:48 mark of the half that gave the Sailfish the lead back. Rollins would score the next four points- but then a Wilson 3-pointer would tie it heading into the locker room.
 Jackson was the only PBA player in double figures in the first half with 12- while Wilson knocked down three 3-pointer's on his way to nine. PBA shot 53 percent from the field- 54 percent (7-13) from the 3-point line- and- 69 percent (9-13) from the free throw line. They had nine assists and 10 turnovers in the half.
  Yenor led the Tars with eight in the first 20 minutes- while  Connor McKim and Loh each had seven. The Tars shot 60 percent from the field- 40 percent (4-10) from the 3-point line-and- 40 percent (2-5) at the free throw line in the half. They led the rebounding battle 13-9. The Tars had 13 assists and nine turnovers in the half as a team.
 Bonner would score seven of the first nine points in the second half. PBA would get the lead back after two Warthen free throws with 15:29 to go. The teams would trade leads before PBA would go up five (59-54) with 8:14 to go. The lead would grow to nine but a Yenor 3-ball would cut it to 66-60 with 6:59 to go. Another Jackson would make the lead nine (69-60.) Rollins would get to within five (76-71) after a pair of Connor McKim free throws at the 2:31 mark.  That would be the last Rollins run as the Tars lost a sixth straight and 10th in the past 11 contests.
