Rollins Looks To Snap Losing Skid Wednesday.

The Rollins Tars- losers of six straight and 10 of the last 11 will look to get back to their  winning ways when they host the Tampa Spartans at Warden Arena in Winter Park. Tip time is set for 7:30 PM and you can catch all the action on RollinsSports.com
 Rollins (9-14 3-12 SSC) will need to find some wins to qualify for the SSC tournament at seasons end. Last time out the Tars were a 91-80 loser to Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday. Jakobi Bonner led the way for the Tars with 22 points- Hutton Yenor netted 16- and- Daniel Loh chipped in 12. The Tars lost despite shooting 54 percent from the floor- and- 46 percent (10-22) from the 3-point line. They did shoot just 67 percent (12-18) at the free throw line. Rollins had 20 assists and 16 turnovers in the contest.
 In the first meeting with Tampa on 1/9 the Tars were a 75-62 loser. Connor McKim paced the Tars with 17- Yenor chipped in 13- Bonner netted 11- and- Eric Castaneda scored 10 in a losing effort. The Tars shot 46 percent as a team- 30 percent (7-23) from the 3-point line- and- 43 percent (3-7) from the free throw line. The Tars had 11 assists and 14 turnovers in the contest.
  Bonner leads a trio of Tars in double figures averaging 14.7 points per night- McKim  scores 13.2 per contest- and- Yenor nets 12.9 per contest. The Tars average 75.3 points a game on the offensive end- while they give up 72.5 per night. The Tars are 5-7 at home on the season- as opposed to 2-5 away from Warden Arena.
  Tampa is coming off a 81-63 win over Florida Tech last time out. They have won two straight. The Spartans (11-12 5-10 SSC) had five score in double figures last time out led by Devon Colley- and- Anthony Gamble with 13 points each. Cedric Belemene added 12- Brent Duncan netted 11- and- Alberto Moreno chipped in 10. The Spartans shot 44 percent from the field- 28 percent (8-29) from the 3-point line- and- 74 percent (17-23) from the free throw line. They had 18 assists and 11 turnovers in the contest.
 In the first meeting with Rollins in January Vincent Biffle paced the Spartans with 23 points- Gamble added 22- and- Belemene contributed 13. The Spartans shot 43 percent from the field- 29 percent (8-28) from the 3-point line- and- 68 percent (15-22) from the free throw line. They had 15 assists and 13 turnovers as a team.
  Gamble leads the team in scoring at 16.6 per game- Biffle puts up 13.3 per night- Moreno scores 11.8 per contest- and- Colley chips in 10.4 a night. The Spartans are 3-4 in true road games on the season. They average 73 per game as a team.
