McKim Sparks Tars Victory.

Connor McKim scored 27 points- dished out eight assists- and- grabbed seven rebounds to spark the Rollins Tars to a 92-80 victory at the D'Hoernle Center in Boca Raton Saturday.  With the win Rollins improves to 15-10 and 9-6 in the SSC. With the loss Lynn drops to 11-11 and 6-8 in the SSC.
  Rollins had four players in double figures in this one. McKim had 27- Jeff Merton netted 18 and grabbed nine rebounds- while Sam Philpott and Eric Castaneda scored 11 points each.  The Tars shot 48 percent from the field- and- also 48 percent (14-29) from the 3-point line (14-29.) The Tars shot 67 percent (22-33) from the free throw line.  They had 21 assists and nine turnovers as a team.
  The Fighting Knights were led by 13 points each from Jamal Palmer and Juwan Frazier- while Marquan Botley and Terrell Rogers added 12 points apiece. The Fighting Knights shot 41 percent from the field- 33 percent (10-30) from the 3-point line- and- 62 percent (16-26) from the free throw line. The Fighting Knights won the rebounding battle 42-35. They had had 18 assists and 12 turnovers.
  The game got off to a fast start offensively for both teams and after McKim hit his second 3-pointer of the game the Tars led by four (14-10) at the 16:05 mark of the first half.  Rollins would stretch the lead to 12 (26-14) after a  Philpott free throw with 9:33 in the half.  Lynn would score the next five points to get to within seven (26-19) after a Kevin O'Brien basket with just under eight to go in the half. The Tars would go up by 14 (37-23) after a Eric Castaneda 3-pointer and a Galvis hoop at the 5:51 mark. The Fighting Knights would score the next seven to get to within seven (37-30) before Jakobi Bonner would score the next four points for Rollins. The Tars would take a 10 point lead (43-33) at halftime.
  The Tars would come out in the second half with as much energy as the first. Galvis would drill a 3-pointer with just under 17 minutes to go and Rollins would lead by 14 (50-36.)  McKim would pick up where he left off in the opening half and hit his fourth 3-pointer of the game to put the Tars up 17 on the next possession.  The lead would grow to 18 before the Fighting Knights would go on a run of their own. The Fighting Knights would be within eight (62-54) after a Frazier basket at the 11:33 mark.  Lynn would again cut it to seven before Castaneda would hit his second 3-pointer of the day to make it 67-57 Rollins at the 9:54 mark.  Lynn would get to within six (67-61) at the 9:12 mark but that is as close as they would get.  The Tars would lead by as many as 14 (84-70) after a Nils Lehmann bucket with 3:10 to go.  The Fighting Knights would cut the lead to single digits but ultimately the Tars would prevail for a crucial road win.
