Rollins (14-10 8-6 SSC) comes into the game off a convincing 86-67 win over Nova Southeastern Wednesday. The Tars got a huge game from several bench players and won the battle of the reserves 60-7. Jack Fleming led the way with 16 points. With the victory on Wednesday the Tars are in a third place tie with Florida Southern in the SSC- trailing Barry and Eckerd.
Four Rollins players average double figures on the season. Sam Philpott leads the way at 14.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per night- Jeff Merton is putting up 13.8 points and 5.5 rebounds a contest. Connor McKim averages 10.1 points and dishes out 3.5 assists a game- while Joey Galvis also averages 10 a game and leads the SSC in steals with 52 on the season. Rollins averages 80.2 points a night- while they give up 80.3 per contest.
Lynn (11-10 6-7 SSC) is coming off a 75-73 overtime win over Saint Leo Wednesday. The Fighting Knights are 8-4 at home on the season.
Jamal Palmer paces Lynn averaging 16.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest- Marquan Botley scores 15.4 a night- while Kevin O'Brien nets 11.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per night. Vieux Kande leads Lynn and is second in the SSC grabbing 9.6 rebounds a night. Lynn averages 76.1 points a game- while they allow 75.9 a contest.
The Tars won the first meeting between the two teams by a 73-71 score in Winter Park. Philpott led Rollins with 21 in that victory- while Terrell Rogers paced the Fighting Knights with 27.
