The Tars have won three straight. Last time out they were a 117-111 double overtime winner over Florida Southern at Jenkins FieldHouse. Sam Philpott led the Tars with a career high 36 points at Southern- Connor McKim scored 18- Jeff Merton had 16. The Tars made a living at the free throw line where they went 41-47 including a pair by Jack Fleming that sent the game into overtime. McKim was 10 of 10 at the free throw line.Philpott is leading the Rollins box score and is fifth in the SSC putting up 20.9 points a night. Merton is putting up 15.3 points and four rebounds a night. McKim scores 11.6 points and also 3.9 assists a contest. Deion Clark and Eric Castaneda also average better than 10 points a night. The Tars score 84.4 points a game- while they give up 81.1 a night.
Barry is coming off a 72-68 win over Lynn on Wednesday. Sunday Tech scored 16 points in the game- while Sawyer Glick and Marco Tomic each netted 15. Reigning SSC Player of the Year Elvar Fridriksson has been out the last three games and is questionable to play again Saturday. He averages 22.3 points and 7.3 assists a game. Glick puts up 13.6 a night- while Dech scores 13.1 points and averages 6.4 rebounds a contest. Daniel Nortensen puts up 12.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per night. Barry scores 91.1 points a game as a team. They are fourth in the country in 3-point shooting.
Rollins will be back in action Wednesday when they travel to Melbourne to take on Florida Tech. Tip time is set for 730 PM.
