Back on Track.

The Rollins College Tars got back on track with a 76-50 thrashing of Barry at Warden Arena on Wednesday evening. The Tars raced out to an early lead and never looked back in snapping a modest two game losing streak. Matt Robertson hit a pair of three's while Myk Brown and Nikola Baran each hit one in the game's first five minutes to stake the Tars to an early 19-10 lead. Four Rollins players netted double numbers on this evening. Nick Wolf led the Tars, stuffing the stat sheet. Wolf who was playing with medical tape on his left wrist after taking a hard foul in Tampa on Sunday had 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Matt Robertson added 14 points and 8 rebounds. He was 4 of 6 from long range. Myk Brown scored 10 of his 13 points in the first half, to continue his solid play of late. Ian Scott added 10 points. The Junior from Mount Dora tallied double numbers for the second consecutive game. Scott also added 4 assists and 4 steals in the Tars lob sided win.
Rollins 10-4 (2-1 SSC) shot 51% from the field. The Tars were 9-22 (41%) from three point land and hit 11-14 (79%) from the charity stripe. The Tars out rebounded Barry 33-30. The Tars had 11 miscues on the night.
  Barry fell to 3-8 (0-3 SSC). The Buccaneers had a pair of players score in double figures. Willie Whitfield had 18 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Bran Van Cott came off the bench and scored 16 points. The Bucs struggled shooting on the night. Barry shot 39% (20-52) from the field. They were 6-24 (25%) from distance and 4 for 8 at the foul line. The Bucs had 16 turnovers and only 12 assists.
   Rollins will be back in action Saturday. The Tars will continue a stretch of 4 out of the next 5 games at Warden Arena when they welcome 23rd ranked Eckerd to the Alfond Sports Center.
