Tars Look For Sixth Straight.

The Rollins College Tars (14-4 6-1 SSC) will travel to Boca Raton to take on the Fighting Knights of Lynn (4-13 2-5 SSC) Wednesday night. The Tars have won five straight, the last being a 79-68 win over Florida Southern on Saturday. The Tars are tied for first in the Sunshine State Conference with #16 Tampa 17-1 (6-1 SSC). The Spartans will be at Florida Tech on Wednesday evening.
   Nick Wolf continues to make his case for D II National Player of the Year for Rollins. The Senior from Cincinnati St.Xavier High School is averaging a double-double (20.2 points and 10.2 rebounds a contest). Wolf is the reigning Sunshine State Conference Player of the week and is coming off a 16 rebound performance vs Florida Southern on Saturday that tied his career best. Wolf is just three points shy of fourth all time in Rollins history. Myk Brown and Matt Robertson each average 14.3 points a contest. Brown has been quiet in the Tars last two games. He has scored 5 and 3 points respectively in the two wins. Ian Scott has come on strong of late for the Tars. The Junior from Mount Dora has scored in double figures in consecutive games. The Tars come in scoring 79.1 points a game while allowing 70.7. The Tars have been better from three point land in the last two contests. They still rank near the bottom of the SSC but have hit 11 treys in both games.
   The Fighting Knights have played better of late. A team that suffered thru a seven game losing skid a short while ago the Knights have won 2 of the last four. The Fighting Knights are coming off a 69-56 win over Barry on Saturday. The Knights who have five players averaging double figures on the season were picked to finish third in the SSC preseason poll. Chris Hall leads the way at 13.7 points a night. Cameron McCallum averages 12.6 a night, while Josh Garcia scores 12.1 a contest. Jimmy Gaskins (11.6 ppg) and Jovan Robinson (10.6) round out the double digit scorers for the Fighting Knights. They average 73.5 points as a team while they allow 75.2. The Knights are a good three point shooting team at 37% while they struggle from the charity stripe (64%).
