Two of the three tri leaders in the Sunshine State Conference get ready for a first place showdown when Rollins meets Florida Southern Saturday at Warden Arena. Tampa is the other first place team in the conference and will take on Nova Southeastern at the "Shark Tank" on Saturday.
Rollins (13-4) comes in on a four game win streak. The Tars most recent victory was a 75-61 win over Florida Tech on Wednesday. The Tars come into the game averaging 79.1 points a game which is good enough for fifth in the conference. On defense they allow 70.9 points per game. The Tars also lead the league in turnover margin and steals. They continue to be led by three players in double figures. Wolf comes in averaging 20.0 points and 9.8 rebounds a game. Wolf leads the conference in steals (1.9 a game) and minutes played (35.8). Myk Brown nets 14.8 points a game while Matt Robertson comes in at 14.6 points and 6.4 rebounds a contest.
Florida Southern (13-4) has won 10 of 11. The most recent win being a 81-67 win over previously unbeaten Tampa on Wednesday night. Four Mocs averaging in double figures on the season. Terry Jenkins leads the way at 15.2 points a game. Rion Rayfield nets 14.3 a game. Brandon Jenkins adds 14.8 points a game and pulls down 6.3 rebounds. B.Jenkins is 32nd in the country in assists and leads the country in assist to turnover ratio. The Mocs averaging 81.5 points a game as a team and allow 72.3 a contest.
