The Rollins College Tars 12-4 (4-1 SSC) welcome the Florida Tech Panthers 12-7 (2-3 SSC) to the Alfond Sports Center on Wednesday night.
The Tars come in on a three game win streak. They are coming off a 85-73 win at Saint Leo on Saturday. The Tars come in led by Senior sensation Nick Wolf. Wolf comes into Wednesday's contest averaging 19.6 points and 9.7 rebounds a night. The Senior D II National Player of the Year Candidate comes in averaging 35.8 minutes a game to lead the Sunshine State Conference. Myk Brown comes in averaging 15.6 points a contest. Wolf and Brown are both coming off solid games at Leo. Wolf had 23 points while Brown added 22. Matt Robertson comes in at 14.5 points and 6.3 rebounds a contest. The Tars average 79.3 points a contest as a team while allowing 71.5 points a night. The Tars lead the SSC averaging 9.6 steals a game. The Tars are 8-1 at home on the season.
The Panthers come in on a modest two game win streak of their own. The Panthers are 0-5 away from home on the campaign. They are coming off a 85-66 win over Barry on Saturday. The Panthers have a high powered offense but rank at the bottom of the SSC defensively. Justin Sedlak leads four Panthers in double figures. Sedlak comes into Wednesday's contest averaging 20.2 points a game to lead the Sunshine State Conference. Simon Cummings (12.3 ppg), Anthony Jackson (12.2 PPG) and Julius Reed (10.6 PPG) round out the double digit scorers for the Panthers. FIT averages 81.1 PPG as a team while it allows 76.6. They are also a good shooting team. The Panthers shoot 46% from the field and 74% at the charity stripe. The Panthers also rebound the ball well averaging 40.4 rebounds a night.
