Tars Tame Lions Saturday.

The Rollins College Tars jumped out to a early 13-0 lead and coasted to a 85-73 win Saturday at the Marion Bowman Activities Center on the campus of Saint Leo.
 With the win the Tars improved to 12-4 (4-1 SSC). Three players scored in double figures for Rollins on the afternoon. Nick Wolf paced the Tars with a game high 23 points. Myk Brown netted 22 for the Tars while Nikola Baran added 11 points to go along with 9 rebounds. The Tars had a solid shooting day in their best road effort of the season. They shot 59% from the field while draining 11-26 from three point land. Also the Tars continued their mastery on the season at the charity stripe. They were 18-20 (90%) on the day. Rollins had 15 miscues. The Tars won the boards battle 28-24.
   The Lions fell to 9-6 (1-5 SSC). It was the fourth straight loss for the Lions. Saint Leo shot 50% from the field on the game. They were 11-25 from long range. They were 6-9 at the foul line and had 16 turnovers. Three Lions players tallied double numbers. Jamal Thompson paced the Lions with 17 points. Dominick Robinson and Matt Kendrick added 12 points each.
  The Tars will be back in action Wednesday. Rollins will welcome Florida Tech to Warden Arena. Tip time is set for 7:30 PM. As always you can catch the action on 91.5 WPRK Winter Park and worldwide on Rollinssports.com.
