The Rollins College Tars 11-4 (3-1 SSC) will travel to the Marion Bowman Activities Center to tussle with the Lions of Saint Leo Saturday afternoon.
The Lions 9-5 (1-4) come in on a three game losing skid. St.Leo lost at Tampa 78-66 in their most recent contest on Wednesday. The Lions have four players averaging in double figures on the season. Matt Kendrick leads the way at 12.7 ppg. Kendrick is shooting 57% from the floor on the campaign. Quentin Cullop comes in at 11.5 points a contest. Cullop is shooting a solid 44% from three point land. Jeremy Jackson is chipping in 10.4 a game including 39% from downtown while Jamal Thompson averages 10.2 points a game. The Lions average 76.1 points a game as a team. Cullop leads them in assists at 4.1 a game. Kendrick leads them with 31 blocks in 14 games. Leo shoots 45% from the field as a team and 37% from distance. The Lions struggle at the charity stripe at just 59% while turning it over 14.9 times a contest.
The Tars are coming off a hard fought 70-69 win over Eckerd. Nick Wolf leads Rollins at 19.9 points and 9.9 rebounds per night. Myk Brown has rebounded from a slow start and is now at 15.1 points per game. Matt Robertson averages 14.9 a night. The Tars bench had it's best performance of the season vs Eckerd. Chris Malcolm had his best game with 9 points. Ian Scott leads the SSC in steals. The Tars are one of the top teams in the country at the foul line. They shoot 77% as a team. Myk Brown is a solid 85% for the season. Rollins leads the all time series 76-14 and won both meetings a season ago.
