Sizzling from Long Range, Spartans Turn Back Tars.

The Tampa Spartans (12-0 2-0 SSC) used hot shooting from three point land to knock off the Rollins College Tars (9-4 1-1 SSC) in conference action Sunday from the Bob Martinez Sports Center.
 Tampa shot 52% from the field while going 13-29(44%) from distance in the win. Four Spartans tallied in double numbers on the day. Callum Townsend led the way with 21 points on 7 of 11 from distance. Rashaad Callaway had 19 points and 5 assists for UT. Ashton Graham added 13 points while Fred Woods chipped in 12 for Tampa. The Spartans were 21-28 (75%) at the charity stripe while committing 16 turnovers. The Spartans were +12 (37-25) on the boards.
  Rollins also posted four players in double figures. Myk Brown led the Tars with 24 points. Matt Robertson had 15, Nick Wolf netted another double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Ian Scott rounded out the Tar double digit scorers with 14. The Tars shot 47% from the field on the game. Rollins continued to struggle as they have all season from beyond the arc going 6-20 (30%). Uncharacteristically the Tars struggled from the charity stripe on Sunday going 24-35 (68%). Rollins had 10 turnovers in the game.
  The Tars will look to snap a rare two game losing streak when they return home to host Barry (3-7) on Wendnesday night. Tip time at Warden Arena is set for 7:30 PM.
