Tars Take Care of Business At Home.

The Rollins College Tars remained at the top of the Sunshine State Conference standings with a 79-68 win over Florida Southern at Warden Arena. The Tars (14-4 6-1 SSC) won for the fifth straight time. Nick Wolf led three Tars in double figures. Wolf had a second consecutive double-double.  Wolf had 23 points and a career high tying 16 boards. Ian Scott had 14 points and Alex Castillo added 12 points off the bench. Rollins shot 47% from the floor and 34% from three point land. The Tars made 75% of the free throws they attempted. Rollins had 15 assists and 11 turnovers as a team.
  The Mocs fell to 13-5 on the year and 5-2 in the SSC. The Mocs were without Terry Jenkins (injury). Three Mocs scored in double digits led by Rion Rayfield with 13. Brett Bailey and Andre Hawkins added 11 each.
  The Tars jumped out to a 13-4 lead in the first six minutes. Ian Scott made a lay up with 14:08 to go that made the lead nine. The Tars would stretch the lead to 14 (25-11) as Alex Castillo drained a triple with 8:30 in the opening stanza. The Mocs would cut the lead to 6 (37-31) at the intermission.
  The Mocs would come out firing in the second half. The Mocs scored the first seven points and a Rion Rayfield triple would make it 38-37 Mocs two and a half minutes into the second half. The Tars would respond and lead 55-46 after a Castillo layup with 10:26 remaining. After the Mocs cut it to 5 on a pair of occasions the Tars would close it out behind Robertson, Scott and Wolf.
  The Tars will be back in action Wednesday. The Tars will look for a sixth straight win when they travel to Boca Raton to battle the Fighting Knights of Lynn. Tip time Wednesday night is set for 7:30 PM.
