A Spartan team that was one  of 14 from 3 point land and scored just 36 points in the earlier meeting this season could not miss Wednesday. Ashton Graham scored 30 points including 6 of 12 from the 3-point line. Callum Townsend added 26 on 6 of 9 from three and Stefan Barfield added 17.  Jon Riles added 10. The Spartans 3-point shooting (especially Townsend and Graham) forced Tom Klusman to come out of the usual zone defense the Tars play for several possessions. They went to a triangle and two, before going to a box in one on Townsend.
The second half was all Tampa after the Tars got within two for the final time. The Spartans would run off the next ten points and put it away.
