The Rollins College Tars (14-8 7-5 SSC) mired in a three game losing skid look to start a late season push when they welcome the Lynn Fighting Knights to Warden Arena Wednesday night. The Tars are coming off a 71-45 thrashing they took from Saint Leo Saturday. The three game losing skid is the Tars longest in the league in four years. Slow starts have been the Tars achilles heel in the past two losses. Two games ago Rollins only score 10 points in the opening half and trailed 32-10 at the half before eventually falling to Eckerd. The last contest against Saint Leo the Tars could only muster 18 first half points and trailed 38-18 at the half. The Tars come in averaging 69 points a game while surrendering 68 a contest. Jeremy Sharpe leads the Tars in scoring. The Senior from Saint Louis puts up 12.9 a night. Myk Brown averages 12 a game, while Dave Diakite puts up 11.1 a contest. Chris Malcolm has been stuffing the stat sheet all season and averages 10.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.4 blocks a game.
Lynn comes in with a record of 13-11 overall and 6-6 in the Sunshine State Conference. The Fighting Knights are coming off a 80-67 loss to Florida Tech, but have won three of four. Lynn is scoring 71 points a game while giving up 63 a contest. A pair of Fighting Knights average double figures on the season. Josh Garcia puts in 12.2 a contest while Slobodan Miljanic nets 11.7 a game.
