The Rollins College Tars may have just what the doctor order Saturday at Warden Arena when they host Saint Leo. The Tars have lost two straight and look to avoid losing three straight in the conference season for the first time since 2007-08. Who better to come to town than the Saint Leo Lions? The Tars have won 28 straight against Saint Leo. The first meeting this season was a narrow 56-53 overtime win for Rollins at the Marion Bowman Activities Center. Rollins comes into the game at 14-7 overall and 7-4 in the SSC. The last two games were losses to Tampa and Eckerd. The Tritons currently lead the league and lead the Tars by 1.5 games for first place. The Tars come in averaging 70 points a game while giving up 67 a contest. Jeremy Sharpe leads the Tars in scoring at 12.8 points a night. Three other Tar starters post double figures as well. Myk Brown nets 12.6 a night, Dave Diakite (11.6) and Chris Malcolm (10.8) all are averaging double figures.
Saint Leo comes in riding a two game win streak. They are 11-10 overall and 5-6 in the SSC. The Lions buried Tampa 71-44 in it's most recent contest Wednesday. Marcus Ruh poured in a game high 23 points for St.Leo. The Lions give up just 60 points a game, while scoring 65. A pair of Lions average double figures. Trent Thomas scores 14.2 points a game, while Marcus Ruh puts up 11.6 points a night.
